Flooding: Before, During and After
Wednesday March 11, 2026 10:00am - 11:00am GMT
What happens on the day of a flood? How do insurers respond? This talk will look at the instant response mechanisms of home insurers in flooding. In addition to supporting our customers, we look at how we deploy emergency aid, and the pitfalls we need to watch out for.

Finally we will explore some of the ways we help mitigate flooding, including our investment into natural flood management (NFM).

From Vulnerability to Resilience: Insurable infrastructure lessons from the Pacific
Wednesday March 18, 2026 10:30am - 12:00pm GMT
From vulnerability to resilience: Insurable infrastructure lessons from the Pacific

Pacific Island countries face some of the world’s toughest conditions for developing resilient, insurable infrastructure. High exposure to natural hazards, fragmented risk management systems, and limited insurance capacity have made infrastructure projects increasingly difficult to insure and sustain.

This webinar explores how a project moved from problems to recommendations to implementation, transforming the Asian Development Bank’s Guide to Insurable Infrastructure in the Pacific into a practical facility designed to operate across the full infrastructure lifecycle.

Drawing on a multi‑year regional process involving 14 Pacific Island Countries, the session will unpack how the facility was developed, the outcomes achieved, key lessons learned, and how this model could serve as a blueprint for other regions facing similar resilience and financing challenges.

Commercial Benefits of Carbon Credits: From Offsets to Assets and De-Risking Mitigation
Wednesday March 18, 2026 12:30pm - 1:30pm GMT
The conversation around carbon credits is rapidly shifting - from a compliance burden and necessary cost to a strategic asset that can strengthen your balance sheet, reduce future liabilities, and de-risk your Net Zero pathway.
In this webinar, we will break down Clyde & Co’s pioneering work championed by Nature Broking that enables the reframing of carbon credits from cost centres into recognisable assets. We’ll break down the commercial drivers, emerging legal frameworks, forward purchase strategies, and new models like Buyers Clubs that enable organisations to secure high integrity credits at lower risk.
Why attend?
You’ll walk away with a clear view of how leading organisations are:
  • protecting themselves from rising mitigation costs and tightening standards
  • transforming carbon credits from offsets into strategic assets
  • using robust legal and accounting frameworks to create enterprise value
  • positioning today’s mitigation investments as tomorrow’s competitive advantage
If you are a CSO, CFO, ESG executive, Sustainability Manager, or simply looking to turn sustainability into real enterprise value, this session is for you.

GARP Webcast: Breaking the Barriers to Climate Risk Innovation
Thursday March 19, 2026 4:00pm - 5:00pm GMT
Add this event to your schedule and the event host will confirm your place.

Join our panel of experts as we explore the key barriers to climate risk innovation in the financial sector, and what can be done to break them.

Finance has a critical role to play in enabling the transition to a more resilient, sustainable, low carbon world. The transition offers huge opportunities for insurers, banks and asset managers. However, as physical risks escalate and a disorderly transition appears increasingly likely, innovation has a potentially transformative role in both mitigating and managing those risks.

In this webcast, we will explore the climate risk innovation ecosystem and identify key barriers to adoption and implementation in the financial sector. We will hear from a range of stakeholders – from innovators to financial practitioners to policy experts – as we holistically consider the available actions that will help shape the future of the risk management in this critical sector.

From Risk Assessment to Resilience: How Insurers Are Responding to Rising Physical Risk
Wednesday May 6, 2026 2:00pm - 3:00pm BST
Physical climate risk is no longer a distant scenario - it is reshaping underwriting, capital allocation and client relationships today.

The MSCI Institute’s latest research, What the Market Thinks: How Global Insurers Are Responding to Rising Physical Risk, synthesizes insights from more than 50 of the world’s largest insurers on how the industry is adapting to escalating extreme weather and climate-related hazards.

Join David Carlin, Founder D.A.Carlin and Company, Pam Palena, Insurance Research Lead, MSCI, alongside Butch Bacani of the UNEP Finance Initiative for a virtual discussion as we unpack:
  • Insurers’ perspectives on the industry’s readiness for rising physical risk.
  • Emerging commercial opportunity in resilience advisory services and parametric products
  • The growing shift toward layered intelligence and geospatial analytics
  • The fundamental challenges of forward-looking analytics.
  • What the next phase of physical-risk integration looks like in underwriting, pricing and capital allocation

Together we will examine what the findings mean in practice and discuss how insurers can move from risk assessment toward resilience leadership in an era of intensifying physical risk.
